  • Sold steel and aluminum cans to the shelf stable protein market, representing $60 million annually.

  • Played a significant role in obtaining a new account with The Suter Company for providing packaging materials for Bumble Bee luncheon kits, representing $6.6 million in yearly sales.

  • Obtained two new accounts for packaging materials with the potential to generate $3.5 million annually.

  • Arranged for the down-gauging of materials for Bumble Bee and Chicken of the Sea, which saved both clients $600,000 annually.

  • Coordinated the resolution of a special printing problem for a key customer using global resources.

Regional Sales Manager, Irvine, California

Sold plastic closures to major direct accounts and distributors in 11 Western states for the health and nutrition industry for a British PLC with manufacturing plants in Indiana and Kentucky.

  • Managed key accounts, including ConAgra, Nutrilite and Schiff Nutrition, as well as 35 smaller accounts, representing $9.5 million.

  • In the first 11 months, brought in nine new customers with annual sales of $2.5 million.

McCormick & Company, Inc., Setco Division, Anaheim, California                                                      1995-2005

Senior Account Executive

Sold plastic bottles in California, Nevada and Utah for a manufacturer with more than $200 million in revenues.

  • Managed 45 clients, including John Paul Mitchell Systems, Nature’s Way, Neutrogena and Watson Pharmaceutical, growing sales from $6 million to $17.2 million annually.

  • Increased sales to Neutrogena from 10% to more than 65% of its total plastic bottle requirements, representing $6 million annually.

  • Obtained Merck-Medco, Inc.’s business, representing $2 million annually.

  • Singlehandedly obtained $2 million of annual sales from Nature’s Way, a contract packager for Proctor and Gamble’s Metamucil tablet product line.

Sold medical packaging to original equipment manufacturers of medical devices in California, Utah and Colorado for a privately held company.

  • Held sales and income responsibility for an existing customer base of 35, including business development, creation of new products and technologies, and marketing of existing and new products.

  • Qualified a new AutoPak sterile packaging product line at the Southern California group of Kaiser Permanente hospitals. This opened the way for more than $5 million in yearly new sales.

Sold Mylar® PET film used for labels, musical drums, electronic parts, graphic arts, solar film and magnetic media for major accounts West of the Mississippi River. Managed technical sales, new market development, evaluation and resolution of quality complaints, and account credit while interfacing with all levels of management. E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company is a world leader and Fortune 100 company in the development of chemistry innovations.

  • Became the sole sales representative for the territory, growing sales from $3 million to $6.6 million.

  • Received the Division’s Excel Award for major account penetration and share growth from 15% in 1990 to more than 80% in 1993.

  • Received a marketing award for market research conducted for the transdermal patch industry.

Occupational Health Chemist, Polymer Products Department, Manufacturing Division, Circleville, Ohio (1979-1981)

Determined potential chemical and acoustical hazards to protect factory workers from any dangerous exposure for the company’s Mylar® manufacturing facility.
