Managed strategic planning for public, customer, investor and employee relations for a listed, regulated water and wastewater utility with $221 million in revenues and operations in nine states. Reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the Board and managed a staff of five.

  • Served as a member of the executive management team in strategy and policy setting, and held an advisory role to the board of directors.

  • Steered the company through investor concerns related to a major financial restatement and a subsequent private equity sale to J.P. Morgan for $475 million. Was instrumental in obtaining shareholder approval of the sale.

  • Chaired the Disclosure Committee, providing leadership in subject matter, editing and final approval on securities filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and proxy materials).

  • Acted as the media and financial spokesperson for news, strategies and financial performance. 

  • Developed investor communications collateral, including earnings releases, teleconference scripts, investor presentations and the annual report to shareholders.
