Departments included facilities, supply chain, neurology/psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and general surgery. Of the total staff, 600 were members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

  • Resolved 110 employee relations cases without litigation.

  • Served on a Lean Process Improvement team that streamlined surgical instrument processing, resulting in a faster cycle time with increased accuracy.

Area Human Resources Manager (contract engagement)

  • Provided general human resources support to the leader of the SAP conversion project. Developed a re-entry process so that talent on loan to the project were assured a proper re-assignment upon return to their respective business units.

  • Served as a Business Partner to the Executive Director of Facilities and Engineering, with a client base of 410 engineers, technicians, space planners and maintenance staff. Problems addressed included employee relations, compensation, discipline, investigations, organizational development, onboarding and team building.

  • Served as a Business Partner to the Vice President of Clinical Development Operations, providing strategic human resources support to 450 biomedical professionals. Provided consistent human resources services during several department re-organizations.

  • Spearheaded, co-designed and managed the implementation of a company-wide Balanced Scorecard Performance Management system.

  • Re-engineered the transactional Human Resources Department into proactive business partners.
