EXPERIENCE

Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, California                                                                          2007-2009

Project Manager, Construction Management Department

Developed and executed capital projects for a non-profit, acute-care hospital with 535 beds and an annual revenue of $471 million.

  • Managed the design and installation of a $3.9 million, state-of-the-art CT Scanner.

  • Oversaw the remodeling and installation of single- and bi-plane C-Arm imagers for two angiogram suites.

  • Converted two utility rooms into fully equipped surgical suites.

  • Completely renovated a 4,000-square foot Central Sterile Department, including the installation of automated equipment.

  • Remodeled an Endoscopy Department, the Blood Donor Center, the Anticoagulation Center, the Respiratory Therapy Department and the Behavioral Services Outpatient Center.

Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., Jacobs Construction Services, Pasadena, California                       1999-2007

Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager/Construction Manager, Cypress, California

Managed and assisted the execution of major construction projects located in Southern California.

  • Assisted the Construction Manager in contract compliance, change order negotiation and pay application approvals for the modernization and new construction for the Santa Monica/Malibu Unified School District.

  • In collaboration with the Government Services Administration, managed the construction of new facilities, representing 26,000 square-feet of office space for two Social Security Administration Offices in San Diego County.

  • Managed the construction modifications of a 250,000-square foot, air-conditioned warehouse for the Eastman Kodak Company in Whittier, California.

  • Managed the construction of parking lot improvements and swing space of 11 classrooms during the construction of an entirely new facility.

  • From 2005-2007, worked as Program Controller for the Construction Management Department at Huntington Memorial Hospital as well as Project Manager for numerous security projects.

Lead Project Engineer

Installed new cleanrooms for Fortune 100 companies for a cleanroom systems manufacturer with 250 employees.

  • Installed a 1,500-square foot cleanroom for the Sierracin/Sylmar Corporation.

  • Managed the installation of a class 1,000, 1,200-square foot cleanroom for Lockheed-Martin’s Santa Barbara facility.

  • Acted as Project Engineer for the installation of a turnkey class 1, 15,000-square foot cleanroom used for chip manufacturing for Intel Corporation.

  • Installed a turnkey class 10, 3,000-square foot cleanroom for Microchip Technology, Inc.

  • Installed a turnkey class 1, 35,000-square foot cleanroom for American Microsystems, Inc.

General Turbine Systems, Inc., Tempe, Arizona & Houston, Texas                                                      1990-1995

Quality Control Manager/Construction Manager

Worked for a turbine manufacturing company with oil industry and military customers.

  • Managed the installation of a turnkey, 15-megawatt gas turbine power plant for the U.S. Navy in Guam.

  • Managed a two-year maintenance program for a five-turbine power station for the U.S. Air Force at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

  • Fabricated, installed and tested control systems for five turbine engines at a natural gas pumping station for a major energy company.

  • Assisted the construction manager with the installation of safety upgrades for Hanford’s 800-megawatt reactor.
