Maintained the integrity of data and records using Lawson software. Managed a staff of eight benefits analysts, data technicians, HRIS administrators and a childcare leader.

  • Managed budgets up to $40 million annually.

  • Developed a formal salary administration program that ensured internal, external and individual pay equity for 875 positions held by 2,300 employees.

  • Conducted complex market studies that helped align pay structures with the organization’s business strategies.

  • Managed employee benefits that included vendor selection and negotiations, conducting annual enrollments and establishing premium payments.

  • Audited the defined contribution and defined benefit programs; submitted results along with form 5500 for compliance to the Internal Revenue Service. For the past eight years, there were no exceptions noted by the IRS.

Safety & Training Manager/Administration Manager

Managed safety and training for a privately held defense contractor with more than 500 manufacturing and engineering professionals involved in the production of command and control hardware and software for the military.

  • Authored the company’s first employee policies and procedures manual.

  • Managed the company’s successful application and qualification for its ISO 9000 quality certification that was required by the Department of Defense.

  • Implemented the company’s first formal safety program, which included a safety committee, employee safety training and monthly safety audits. Accidents dropped to a level of less than 1% with no OSHA violations.

  • Created the SNC University, which presented accredited courses in a variety of human resources, manufacturing and leadership training. More than 300 company employees at all levels participated.

  • Conducted courses in Task Analysis, which was used to improve accountability and effectiveness throughout the company.
